Research Administration Office Services

The Research Administration Office provides the following services:

• Administrative oversight of research programs and shared resources
• Administration of the Research Development Awards program (seed grant mechanism)
• Administration of the Siteman membership process
• Coordination of research program seminars, workshops and retreats
• Leadership or assistance in developing collaborations between investigators for new research initiatives
• Oversight of research cores, including annual review and core development
• Oversight of Siteman department and business unit
• Planning, coordination and execution of multiproject research grants
• Targeted communication of cancer-related funding opportunities
• Development and operation of the Program for the Elimination of Cancer Disparities (PECaD)
• Assistance with recruitment of new faculty
• Computer networking and design of research management databases
• Fiscal management and consultation
• Space and equipment management
• Management of the  Cancer Biology Pathway (doctoral training program) within the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences
• Administration of Siteman's Summer Opportunities Program for undergraduate, premedical and medical students
• Siteman Web site development and maintenance
• Coordination with marketing and development activities
