Research Administration Office Services
The Research Administration Office provides the following services:
- Administrative oversight of research programs and shared resources
- Administration of the Research Development Awards program (seed grant mechanism)
- Administration of the Siteman membership process
- Coordination of research program seminars, workshops and retreats
- Leadership or assistance in developing collaborations between investigators for new research initiatives
- Oversight of research cores, including annual review and core development
- Oversight of Siteman department and business unit
- Planning, coordination and execution of multiproject research grants
- Targeted communication of cancer-related funding opportunities
- Development and operation of the Program for the Elimination of Cancer Disparities (PECaD)
- Assistance with recruitment of new faculty
- Computer networking and design of research management databases
- Fiscal management and consultation
- Space and equipment management
- Management of the Cancer Biology Pathway (doctoral training program) within the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences
- Administration of Siteman's Summer Opportunities Program for undergraduate, premedical and medical students
- Siteman Web site development and maintenance
- Coordination with marketing and development activities
