New Cardinals Cap Helps Raise Research Dollars
The limited edition cap is only available at the Cardinals Store at Busch Stadium.
March 25, 2010 – A national leader in cancer is partnering with a National League leader on a new cap to help fight cancer.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Sportservice will offer a limited edition Cardinals hat for the 2010 season with $10 from each sale going to the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine for cancer research.
"The Cardinals are proud to team up with the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine to do our part in the fight against cancer," says Bill DeWitt III, Cardinals president.
The hat is a traditional Cardinals cap with the traditional “STL” logo, but it also features on the side a multi-colored ribbon signifying awareness of all cancers.
“The Siteman Cancer Center is among the nation’s leaders in cancer research, and thanks to the Cardinals we can develop new therapies and treatments to fight cancer,” says Timothy Eberlein, MD, Siteman Cancer Center director.
The limited edition cap is $20 and is only available at the Cardinals Store at Busch Stadium.
