Research Interest

Radiation therapy of tumors using brachytherapy after-loading equipment. This equipment has low-dose rate, high-dose-rate and pulsed-dose-rate capabilities. Currently, the clinical program is composed mainly of gynecology patients but also includes patients with CNS tumors, head and neck tumors, breast cancer, lung cancer, esophageal cancer and soft tissue sarcomas. Areas of investigation include 3D brachytherapy treatment planning, interstitial hyperthermia and online image verification of implant step wedges.
