Definition of haloperidol

haloperidol (ha-loh-PAYR-ih-dol): A drug used to treat certain mental and neurological disorders. It is also being studied in the treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by some cancer treatments. It is a type of antiemetic and a type of antipsychotic. Also called Haldol.
