Wendy's Partners With Siteman for Sweet Fundraiser
Jan. 30, 2012 – For just $2, customers at participating Wendy’s restaurants can purchase up to a year of Jr. Frosty desserts while supporting the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
From January through March 2012, or while supplies last, customers can purchase a Frosty key tag for $2 at participating Wendy’s in central Illinois; eastern Iowa; and Hannibal, Palmyra, Kirksville and Herculaneum in Missouri. By showing the key tag on subsequent visits to Wendy’s, customers will receive a free Jr. Frosty with any purchase as often as they wish through Dec. 31, 2012.
Wendy’s strives to keep founder Dave Thomas’ ideals and beliefs at the heart of the Wendy’s culture by giving back to the local communities in which they serve. Net proceeds of key tag sales will be donated to Siteman. The donation will fund innovative research aimed at advancing therapies for patients with pancreatic cancer.
“The Siteman Cancer Center is extremely grateful to Wendy’s for their generosity,” says Timothy Eberlein, MD, Siteman director. “Through their support, community partners like Wendy’s help us give lasting hope to thousands of people and their families who are battling this devastating disease.”
