Siteman and CBS Radio Team Up to Light the Town Pink

Sept. 18, 2009 – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine has teamed up with CBS Radio St. Louis to “Light the Town Pink” with pink light bulbs. The bulbs can be placed in home porch lights or at businesses to show support for breast cancer patients and breast cancer screening.

The light bulbs can be purchased through Oct. 31, while supplies last, at the Barnard Health and Cancer Information Center on Siteman's main campus, CBS Radio offices and Neighbors Credit Union locations. The cost is $3. All proceeds benefit Siteman and will be used to ensure women have access to mammography screening, regardless of their ability to pay.
