Description:
This study for patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) who are at least age 60 years or older and are currently in remission.
The purposes of this study are to find out what effects (good and bad) the cancer drug clofarabine has when given to patients, to determine the best dose of clofarabine, and to determine whether clofarabine is effective in keeping AML from coming back (relapse).
Approximately 30 patients with AML who are 60 years of age or older will participate in this study at Washington University.
