Description:
The purpose of the first phase of the study is to learn what dose of an investigational drug, plerixafor along with G-CSF can be safely given with standard of care chemotherapy drugs.
Once the first phase of the study is completed, the second phase of the study will determine whether the combination of plerixafor + G-CSF with Mitoxantrone, Etoposide and Cytarabine (MEC) can be more effective in treating leukemia than (MEC) alone.
