Description:
A technique where the laparoscopic/robotic kidney surgery is performed without clamping of the blood vessels and without the interruption of the blood flow to the kidney has been developed and is being routinely performed here by your surgeon. It remains unclear whether it is better for kidney function after surgery to have laparoscopic/robotic kidney surgery with clamping or without clamping of the blood vessels. The purpose of this research study is to compare the effects, good and/or bad, of performing the removal of the kidney mass with or without clamping the blood vessels.
