Description:
The purpose of this research study is to determine if fidaxomicin is safe and effective in the prevention of clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, or CDAD, compared with placebo. As there is currently no other drug on the market used to prevent CDAD before it occurs, the information obtained from this study will be helpful in determining fidaxomicin’s effectiveness.
