Primary Academic Title:
Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Oncology, Section of Stem Cell Biology, Washington University School of Medicine
Research Interest:
To understand the pathogenesis of leukemia. We use as tools a group of fusion oncogenes that have been cloned from patients with leukemia. By combining mouse models of disease with the power of modern laboratory techniques, we hope to better understand the molecular mechanisms of these diseases and to contribute to the development of specific cancer therapies. Key words: Leukemia, myeloma, AML, myeloid development, mouse models, receptor tyrosine kinase, fusion oncogenes, translocations.
