Primary Academic Title:
Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Oncology, Section of Molecular Oncology, Washington University School of Medicine
Research Interest:
I am interested in identifying events that promote genomic instability in cancer as well as identifying genes that genome-destabilizing events deregulate to promote the tumor phenotype. We have inactivated specific genes in noncancerous human cells, resulting in the induction of genomic instability and transformation. By microarray analysis, we have identified several novel genes that appear to be essential for the neoplastic transformation and are studying their function and possible utility as therapeutic targets.
