Primary Academic Title:
Professor of Pathology and Immunology, Section of Immunology and Molecular Pathology, Washington University School of Medicine
Research Interest:
Immunobiology of the major histocompatibility complex with specific regard to the role of MHC-I in antigen presentation. We are defining the molecular events that are responsible for the intracellular processing of antigens and their binding to MHC-I molecules in the ER. Furthermore, we are investigating the role of MHC-I in thymic selection of the T-cell repertoire. These basic mechanisms are fundamental to host immune responses to tumors.
