There are many different procedures associated with breast reconstruction. Some involve the use of implants. Others involve the use of tissue from another part of the body – called a flap – that is used to rebuild the breast. Surgeons also perform procedures such as breast augmentation or breast reduction on healthy breasts so they more closely match a woman’s reconstructed breast.
Our plastic and reconstructive surgeons work closely with patients to determine which procedures are best for each woman based individual circumstances.
