American Cancer Society-Institutional Research Grant Awardees
During the past 55 years, the American Cancer Society-Institutional Research Grant (ACS-IRG) at Washington University has been fostering the development of the next generation of researchers capable of breakthroughs in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The ACS-IRG provides the mechanism through which junior faculty members hypothesize and test new ideas that potentially will lead to successful peer-reviewed research grants.
During the fall of 2012, the ACS-IRG review committee evaluated 11 applications from faculty across the university. In December, the committee selected four awardees.
Each award provides $30,000 in direct costs for a one-year period beginning Jan. 1 and ending Dec. 31.
