Research Interest

Applying social psychology and health behavior theory to the development, implementation and evaluation of behavioral interventions designed to increase individuals' preventative behaviors, specifically in breast and colorectal cancer screening. Understanding the casual mechanisms underlying the inter-relations between health behaviors and cognitive, psychosocial and environmental determinants. Other interests include patient-physician communication, patient adherence, health risk communication and quantitative methods inclouding casual modeling, meta-analysis and psychometrics.
