at Urbana-Champaign and the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, provides a research and clinical resource in the Midwest for both the fundamental exploration of nanotechnologies applied to cancer and also their translation, commercialization and application in the clinical environment. Funded by a five-year, $16 million grant from the National Cancer Institute, the center fosters integration among the physical, biological and clinical sciences. It truly is an interdisciplinary effort designed to move nanomedicine research forward.
