Through the end of 2009, work related to the Interstate 64/Highway 40 construction project will affect some visitors to Siteman Cancer Center’s main campus at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in the Central West End area of St. Louis.
The disruption comes from the closure of Highway 40 in both directions between Interstate 170 and Kingshighway Boulevard. This stretch will remain closed through the end of the year. All lanes of Kingshighway will remain open during this phase of construction as well as ramps connecting Kingshighway and Highway 40 on the east.
To help Siteman patients and visitors find their way to our main campus, we have new driving directions and maps.
If you find you are running late for a medical appointment on our main campus, please call 866-514-9940 to notify representatives, who will pass this information on to your physician’s office. You also can call this number if you have questions about getting to our main campus.
As an alternative to driving, there is a MetroLink light rail station and a MetroBus hub within easy walking distance of Siteman’s main campus. Visit the Metro Web site at www.metrostlouis.org for a trip planner and fare information.
