Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital

The Siteman Cancer Center has operated a facility on the campus of Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital since August 2005. The 14,055-square-foot free-standing facility, located just south of the hospital, offers a full range of adult cancer services, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, education and support programs.

Physician care at our St. Peters facility is provided by Washington University medical and radiation oncologists and surgeons. The staff also includes nurse practitioners, oncology-certified nurses, a dietitian, a social worker, a massage therapist and additional support personnel to assist patients and family members. Research assistants located on site coordinate services for patients participating in clinical studies.

The St. Peters facility also offers:

  • A CT simulator for radiation therapy treatment planning
  • A Varian Clinac EX linear accelerator with a 120-leaf collimator that can be used to deliver intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
  • Brachytherapy treatment for early stage breast cancer
  • Oncology data management software that provides a paperless system for registration, scheduling, billing, lab reporting, order entry and charting
